Jim was initially engaged on a 6 week contract here at iBuy TV in Chiswick. This was extended several times for a total of 8 months.

During that time he maintained and updated our call centre application, a business critical web application for processing sales orders. As we wanted to convert this application written in Classic ASP to ASP.Net, we chose Jim for his experience with both classic ASP and ASP.Net. This worked out well as Jim was able to set up the security and authentication to work for both classic ASP and ASP.Net so that new parts of the application written in ASP.Net 2.0 could function alongside code written in Classic ASP.

During his time here, Jim also created new systems in ASP.Net 2.0 to improve customer services, allow new opportunities for customers to purchase items at any time, improve reporting for external vendors and offer customer’s discount vouchers. Each of these systems are in use today and work as expected.

Jim has used his analytical skills to good effect in understanding the requirements of each area of the business when working on each of the projects we gave him. We make considerable use of database code in all our applications and his strengths in this area served him well here too.

Jim worked well with all the various members of the IT team here at iBuy and was well liked by people in the business generally.

If I had the opportunity to use Jim again in the future I would certainly do so.
